An invoice number is easy to mistype when you keep looking between a PDF and a form. Keeping the source close helps, but the labels and meaning matter just as much as the characters.
Start with the right invoice.
Confirm the supplier and invoice number before you begin. If several similar documents are open, check which one you are entering. A correct value from the wrong invoice is still the wrong entry.
In Relayne, select a readable source and focus a supported destination field. Form Assist can show a matching source value beside it while you type.

Invoice date is not payment due date. Subtotal is not total or amount due. A supplier tax identifier is not an invoice number.
Before copying a value, confirm what the destination asks for and what the source label means. Check the surrounding details when a document has repeated amounts or more than one party.
Confirm the currency too. A matching number does not establish that the currency or tax treatment is right.
A mismatch is a reason to look again.
When Form Assist has identified a source value, its typing feedback can flag a differing character. Compare your entry with the original and correct it if needed.
A match means the entry agrees with that source value. It does not approve the invoice, establish that the document is genuine or verify your whole form.
If no useful suggestion appears, check the original directly. A missing suggestion is not a confirmation that the field is correct.
Keep each line item together.
Check the description, quantity, unit and unit price as one record. Repeated descriptions or amounts can make separate lines easy to confuse.
Do not assume the second row in a form corresponds to the second line in the invoice. Rows may be reordered, hidden or repeated. Use the item details to establish which record you are entering.
If a value is unclear or assistance is unavailable, use the original and your normal review process.
Before you submit.
- Correct supplier and invoice reference.
- Dates matched to the requested fields.
- Currency and amounts checked against their labels.
- Each required line item reviewed as a complete record.
- Your usual approval and duplicate-invoice checks completed.
Relayne suggests. You type and submit. Follow your organisation’s accounting procedures.
