How can we help?

Quick answers first, first-aid steps next, and a direct line to us at the bottom.

Get started

Install Relayne on Windows

Beta installs come from the secure link in your access email — there is no public installer. Run it, follow the prompts, and Relayne starts in the tray. If your link has expired, write to us from the address on your account.

Connect the Chrome extension

Install the Relayne extension from the link in your access email, then open Relayne and Chrome together. The extension talks only to the Relayne app on your device — nothing goes online. If Chrome shows the extension as inactive, reload the page you are working in.

Choose your first source

Open the document you want Relayne to follow, then pick it in Relayne. Supported sources include open PDFs, documents, and pages in supported Chrome workflows.

Start Relayne Form Assist

With a supported form focused, click into a field. If the field is recognized and a matching value exists in the source, Relayne shows it beside the field. Relayne never fills the field for you.

Start Relayne Text Follow

Start typing a few words that appear in an open document. Relayne finds your place and shows what comes next. Begin typing from a different open document and Relayne follows the change.

Use Relayne

Understand Found, Check, and Not identified

Found means the value matched the source. Check means something differs or is uncertain — look before accepting. Not identified means Relayne could not connect the field or value to the source, so it withholds a result instead of guessing.

Use Relayne Crosscheck

Crosscheck reviews supported fields that are already filled in, as well as the ones you complete, and marks what matches the source, what differs, and what needs attention.

Open Relayne Highlights

From a result, open Highlights to jump back to the relevant place in the source, with the information behind the result highlighted.

Choose another source

If Relayne is following the wrong document, choose another source and it switches. Text Follow can also switch by itself when you start typing from a different open document.

Select source information manually

When Relayne needs help, select the correct information in the source yourself. The result is then treated like any other and can be crosschecked and highlighted.

Fix a problem

Relayne does not appear beside a field

Make sure Relayne is running and the form is supported. Click into the field again to re-focus it. If the field is not recognized, Relayne stays out of the way by design — that is not an error state.

Relayne cannot find the source

Confirm the document is open and selected as the source. For Text Follow, type a slightly longer run of words — very common phrases can appear in several places.

The wrong value is suggested

Check which source is selected — the most common cause is a similar document being followed. Choose the right source, or select the correct information manually, and use the result states to verify.

The highlight opens in the wrong place

This can happen when a document contains repeated values. Select the correct information manually once; Relayne uses your selection for that result.

Chrome cannot connect to Relayne

Check that the extension is enabled and Relayne is running, then reload the working tab. If the connection does not recover, restart Relayne — the connection is local, so no network settings are involved.

Relayne cannot read a PDF

Close and reopen the document. Scanned or image-only PDFs and unusual layouts may not be supported yet — that is a compatibility limit, not a fault on your machine.

Try these first

  1. Make sure Relayne is open.
  2. Check that the correct source is selected.
  3. Focus the destination field again.
  4. Confirm that the Chrome extension is enabled.
  5. Close and reopen the document if Relayne cannot read it.
  6. Restart Relayne if the connection does not recover.

Relayne works only with supported documents, fields, forms, and applications. A missing suggestion does not always mean something is broken.
